Mesa Dental Austin Dentist
Dear Valued Mesa Dental Patients
Our team has been fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and we are ready to provide your dental care.
Infection control has always been a priority in our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it is both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Texas Dental Board. We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.
-
Fingertip Oximeter: is a non-invasive method for monitoring a person’s oxygen saturation.
-
Touchless temperature screening
-
Multiple Covid-19 screening questionnaires.
-
UV-C air purifiers: short wave (UV-C) kills or deactivates bacteria, viruses, and other infectious organisms already there and stops them from reappearing in the future. Produces sanitized air flow contributing to a healthier environment.
-
EOS Extraoral Dental Suction System: in each operatory—effectively removes the droplets and aerosols produced during dental procedures. Highly reduces the risk of infection and keeps clean air in each room.
-
UV+Ozone Disinfection Lamps: ozone can kill viruses even out of reach of the UVC light. The lamp kills germs and viruses within a few minutes at the rate of up to 99.99%.
-
UV Wand: disinfects paperwork, keyboards and countertops.
-
N95 mask, waterproof treatment jackets, face shields, hair coverings and gloves.
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
-
Seven days before your scheduled appointment you will receive an automated text message with a health screening form attached. This form must be completed no later than 3:00 pm that day.
-
A few days before your visit you will receive an email reviewing our check-in procedures as well containing a Covid-19 Patient Advisory Acknowledgment form and a Credit Card Authorization form. Please bring these completed forms to your appointment. This applies to your first visit with us after June 1, 2020.
-
Please bring a copy of your dental insurance card—these are available on the insurance website for printing.
-
When you arrive, please stay in your car, and call us to let us know that you are here.
-
A mask is required for the screening and to enter our building-please bring one.
-
Your temperature and Pulse Oximeter reading will be completed at every visit.
-
All payment receipts and treatment plans will be emailed to reduce patient to team contact.
-
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you are offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
-
We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.
We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 512-345-0289.
Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors, and friends.
